So, what is the biggest reason we catch fish? Is it the type of lure or bait that's used? Or is it the area that we're fishing in? Maybe it's a combination of these things. And then there's your skill as an angler. Your skill as an angler has to be taken into account, right? The truth is all of these things factor in to you catching or not catching fish, but there is one big reason we catch fish. In fact, it's the biggest reason we catch fish.
Now, some people will have you believe that you can spend your hard earned money on a "special" piece of equipment, that will attract fish to where you're fishing, but some "special" piece of equipment isn't the reason we catch fish. The biggest reason we catch fish has to do with Mother Nature. That's right, just like so many other things on this earth, fishing is effected by Mother Nature, and she is the biggest reason that we catch fish.
Not just Mother Nature, but specifically the weather and the moon. The biggest reason we catch fish or just end up "standing on the shore looking like an idiot", as Steven Wright said, are the weather and the moon. I realize that this might sound a bit strange, but it's true. The weather and moon have an incredible impact on the behavior of fish, and thus fishing itself. In fact, these two forces of Mother Nature, the weather & the moon are the biggest reason we catch fish.
The good news is that you don't have to become a scholar on these subjects or even spend one cent on the information that you need to know about the way the weather and moon impact fishing. All you have to do is spend a little time researching the subjects, and you'll learn everything that you need to know. As a matter of fact a great place to start is this FREE E-book. A free resource such as this will help you understand what you should know about the weather and moon.
My entire point to this article is that the biggest reason we catch fish isn't something that you buy or spend money on. It all has to do with mother nature, and when you couple fishing at the times when the fish are most active (naturally) with your prowess as an angler, you will catch more fish. Make no mistake about it, learning about the weather & moon is a piece of the puzzle. It's just the biggest piece, in my opinion. There is no substitute for spending time on the water practicing the art of fishing. Just remember there is no single "thing" that will magically help you catch fish. Patience, practice, and fishing when the fish are the most active is the closest thing you'll ever find to something "magic".
