Kona Hawaii Sportfishing Captain Jeff Fay Wins Skins Marlin Derby
Kona, Hawaii ?August 30, 2011 ?The crew of the Kona Hawaii Sportfishing charter boat the Humdinger recently took top honors in the Kona Tournaments Series Skins Marlin Derby. The crew of Humdinger Sportfishing earned 1,000 points for catching five blue marlin in the tag and release fishing tournament held recently on the Big Island in Kona.
The crew of Humdinger came out strong on day of the Kona Fishing Tournament tagging three blue marlin to take the lead. Keeping up the strong pace of day one, the crew of Humdinger Sportfishing went on to tag and release two more blue marlin extending their lead to 1,000 points. With no fish weigh during day three of the Kona Hawaii Sportfishing Tournament, the crew of Humdinger Sportfishing held on to take the skin for day three of the Sportfishing Tournament and top honors for anglers Eldon Lee and Jim Humphries that took home almost $40,000 in prize money for the three day sportfishing tournament.
