If you are a fisher or want to visit a place where you have never been before it's a good idea to look into getting a fishing guide or outfitter. These guides will show you the best places within certain perimeters to find whatever you might be fishing for. There are websites online that allow you to search for guides within the country from Alaska to Wyoming. You can visit the states on these forums to then find a large directory filled to the brim with all sorts of different outfitters. For example, say you want to go to Florida or Idaho you will find information such as a description about the outfitter/guide as well as pictures, phone numbers, locations and much more. Here are two examples:
Founded in 2000 by Bret Conway, Chappy's Outfitters is backed with 4 years of industry experience. Chappy's Outfitter provides top-notch hunting and boating needs including Fishing Boat rentals, Canoe Trips in pristine Fish-eating Creek and even Air boat Rides and Tours of Lake Okeechobee., great customer support, and prices that can't be beat! Through our commitment, experience, and expertise Outfitters has established a business relationship with our customers that will last a lifetime!
Steelhead fishing is excellent on the Snake River at this time and should be good through the January and February. Book your chukar hunts now. Some dates are still available. FishHawk Guides is now taking reservations for guided steel head fishing, salmon fishing, sturgeon fishing, small mouth bass fishing and catfish fishing trips on the Snake River, including Hells Canyon and on the Clearwater River.
Like C. Outfitters And Fish Hawk Guides above, all the other outfitters also have the same format. Of course some outfitters have more or less information, but you get the idea! As with all directories, I absolutely love the way everything is organized. And, all the information you could possibly need about the outfitter or guide is listed right there for you to see. And then if you like the outfitter you can check out their site (which always contains even more info and photos) or call them and ask questions directly.
The forums will also contain other things such as ratings, reviews, and comments for outfitters and guides at hand (where available). You can view the most popular outfitters, most viewed, search by Outfitter name, as well as what the outfitter specializes in. In my highest opinion, these forums are the best option to look for.
