Tons of boaters are adding marine audio systems. No matter what they do and where they go, they have the option of jamming out to tunes.
Installing a stereo in your boat is much like installing one in your vehicle. You will need a head unit and a pair of speakers. You may also choose to install subs for low bass levels.
Marine audio is for people who not only use their boat in the summer, but also Fall, Spring and Winter. No matter the temperature, marine audio can be enjoyed through any season. This makes it that much more useful.
You're on the water with family for the day so you may as well add something to entertain everyone. A marine audio system will take the boring out of boring. Everyone will be amused throughout the day.
Even if you took your family on a fishing trip, sometimes a decent amount of time will pass before you catch anything. Having a stereo will make time go by faster.
If you're boat has a factory radio installed, you can simply replace it with an aftermarket marine CD player. This will not only add CD playing and of course the radio too, but will also allow you to play you MP3 player or iPod.
With that said, your overall boating experience will be that much better. Whether you're by yourself, family or friends. Motivate yourself and add one. You can do it!
Some boats may have a pair of speakers pre-installed. You can unscrew these speakers and easily replace them. This will add a higher acoustic level of sound.
Most receivers would do a good job powering your speakers. If you want to get louder, you can always add an amplifier. This would naturally boost the sound.
If you think you need some more low frequencies, a marine subwoofer will add it. It is a must to add an amplifier to power your subwoofer. Without one, it just will not work.
If you are not looking for an overwhelming amount of bass, you can simply add one subwoofer. They are available in 8" 10" 12" and sometimes 15" models too.
