Fishing is fast gaining importance nowadays and this is not just because of the increase in fishing by people who sell fish for survival but also because it is gaining importance in households in America as a leisure activity. People who have stressful and tiring lives generally look forward to fishing as an escape route from their daily activities.
There has also been a great increase in fishing in Colorado and most notably around Denver. People want to go for fly fishing Colorado and they generally prefer to go to Denver. Therefore there has been an increase in fishing spots in and around Denver and these spots will be discussed here.
Most of the lakes and rivers of Denver are managed by either city government, Colorado state parks, Denver state parks or by the Bureau of Reclamation. Since these water bodies have a moderate temperature, they hold both warm as well as cold water species.
One of the famous areas for Denver fly fishing is the Aurora Reservoir which is one mile east of gun club road on Quincy. Here many varieties of fish can be found and these are the Trout, Perch, Walleye, Crappies and Largemouth Bass.

The Chatfield Reservoir also boasts of many varieties of fish and 5 different types can be found here which are Trout, Perch, Tiger Muskie, Largemouth Bass and Crappies. Another such spot which has various different varieties of fish is the Cherry Creek Reservoir which also has five different varieties of fish that can be found. The varieties of fish that can be found here are the Trout, Walleye, Crappies, Tiger Muskie and Largemouth Bass.
