Only one hour away from Port Renfrew is the Swiftsure Bank. Many consider it as the most valuable fishing site of Vancouver island. From April to September, you can expect fewer but big halibuts in the area. You can engage in deep-water hunting for Chinook salmons. From June to September, expect a larger number of fish but smaller. It is perfect for shallow-water fishing like Coho fishing. Then from August to October, the area yields an abundant number of fish although they are relatively smaller during this season. The Beach or Camper Creek is just fifteen minutes away from Port Renfrew where you can anticipate forty-pound Chinook salmons swimming around. Just minutes outside the mouth of the port's harbor, is East Point, where you can run after summer Chinook salmons from the months of July to October. A number of Port Renfrew fishing charters are available to all enthusiasts so there is no problem going to your chosen point of fishing.
