Carrying Worms
Carrying worms when fishing can be a bit of a hassle. I'm, of course, not talking about the colorful pieces of rubber that Largemouth Bass anglers use to entice their quarry. I'm referring to the kind of worms that you used when you were a kid, learning how to fish. You know the ones that come in white Styrofoam containers? The containers that live worms are sold in can be a hassle to carry around and get forgotten along the banks of our rivers, streams, and lakes all the time. This is completely unnecessary. There is a viable alternative to all of these problems when it comes to carrying worms.
That alternative is called a bait bag. What's a bait bag? A bait bag is a "bag" that attaches to the anglers fishing vest, belt, or shirt, and is used to carry your worms while fishing. The worms are simply taken out of the container that they're purchased in and transferred to the bait bag. Then, when a worm is needed, it's right there at the anglers' fingertips. No more digging through that container looking for a worm. With a bait bag, the worms are right there, ready to go (the dirt is removed before placing the worms in the bag).
You may be wondering how you can get your hands on one of these "bait bags". Simple. You can either make one yourself, such as out of an old sock or you can go somewhere like JRWfishing and purchase one. The choice is yours, both alternatives will work. The bottom line is that when it comes to carrying worms, a bait bag should be employed. The days of carrying those Styrofoam containers with us on fishing excursions are gone. Carrying worms has become much more simple and effective than it used to be. When you begin using a bait bag to carry your worms, Mother Nature will thank you as well for not having to deal with all of those old and forgotten Styrofoam containers.
