Master The Differnt Techniques Of Fishing
Fishing is an activity enjoyed by mankind both for food as well as relaxation, from ancient times. Today that tradition continues as millions of people around the world catch fish for living or for sport. Whatever reason behind this sort of activity, one thing for sure is that everybody who fishes enjoys being successful at it. In order to be successful at fishing the person needs to follow certain techniques. These techniques are a result of generations of trial and error methods handed down from one person to the next. The following are some examples of successful fishing techniques.
Fly fishing
The basic elements of fly fishing are relatively easy to learn. However perfecting the technique is a lifetime hobby for some. Fly rods are either made out of fiberglass or bamboo. Fiberglass rods tend to be cheaper compared to bamboo. The length of these rods can be anywhere between seven and eight and a half feet long. Fly casting is accomplished with two different movements; the forward cast and back cast. The line is extended around 20ft on the surface of the water. The hand that is not holding the fishing rod should hold the line to the side. The fishing rod is raised with increasing tempo little beyond the vertical point, so that the line is extended straight back. Then the direction of the line is reversed. This is done until the fly settles lightly on the water.
Clear water fishing
The first rule of clear water fishing is to use darker colored lines. This is because clearer lines are more difficult for the fish to see. This is especially true on a day with a lot of sun, because the sunlight reflects of the water, making it harder to see. If the water is darker, then it is more effective to use brighter colored lines. This also holds true for night fishing. For night fishing it is also a good idea to arrive at the location before sundown. The reason is because there is always a chance of scaring the fish away with noises made by the boat, preparing the rod etc. Using black lights can make night fishing a lot easier.
Doodling
Doodling is a type of fishing technique. It involves dropping the fishing line to a certain depth and then wiggling it. This is a reliable way to attract predator fish, because it will fool them into thinking that they are looking at an injured fish. Doodling is one of the oldest and most reliable techniques used in fishing.
