Why is your mountain bike clicking?

Clicking sound from the drivetrain

- Loose chainring bolts.

- Chain too tight.

- Chain too loose.

- Bent derailleur hanger.

- Damaged chain.

- Cassette cogs are worn.

- Freehub body is loose or damaged.

- Pedal bearings are worn.

Other parts of the bike that could be clicking:

- Loose headset.

- Loose bottom bracket.

- Wheels spokes are loose or broken.

- Brake pads rubbing the rotor or rim.

- Suspension components are loose or worn.

- Water bottle cage.
