How to Fix a Bike Tire Sidewall Leak

1. Locate the leak.

- Inflate the tire and then spray soapy water around the entire sidewall.

- Look for bubbles forming to indicate the location of the leak.

2. Prepare the tire.

- Deflate the tire completely.

- Remove the wheel from the bike and remove the tire from the rim.

3. Clean the area around the leak.

- Use a wire brush to clean the area around the leak and remove any dirt or debris.

- Wipe with a clean rag until it's clean and dry.

4. Apply sealant.

- Apply a sealant specifically designed for sidewall punctures to the inside of the tire, covering the area around the leak.

- Allow the sealant to dry completely according to the product instructions.

5. Reinflate the tire and check for leaks.

- Reinflate the tire to the recommended pressure and then spray soapy water around the sidewall again to check for leaks.

- If you see any bubbles forming, repeat the process until the leak is sealed.

6. Remount the tire and wheel back onto the bike.
