Sidi Shoes - It’s About Tradition, Innovation, Quality, Commitment And Passion.

SIDI began its shoe aficionado journey in 1960 as a workshop manufacturing mountain sports footwear. In the 70’s they expanded their horizons to include a line of cycling footwear. Not just bicycles, but motorcycles as well; off road and on road boots to be exact. It’s funny when you bring up your great new pair of SIDI cycling shoes to a motorcyclist, they usually have no idea SIDI makes great bike shoes. Same thing happens when a motorcyclist mentions his new SIDI boots to a bike enthusiast. Fortunately SIDI excels in both arenas.

With almost 50 years of design excellence, Dino Signori, the founder of SIDI still strives for perfection in every pair of shoes or boots that leaves his workshop. He’s passionate about the comfort and quality he produces and stands behind his product 100%. This intuitive knowledge of what his customer’s want, as well as what they need, has skyrocketed him to the top of the cycling shoe mountain.

One of the aspects that make SIDI shoes stand out for us is that they will do everything they can to keep your cycling shoes in tip top shape for their lifetime. If it breaks, they will fix it. They stand behind their technology, making advancements each year to assure their customers will receive the most comfortable, reliable and innovative shoes possible. This quality and dedication shine through which is why millions of athletes choose SIDI shoes consistently.

Over the years there have been too many success stories to list, so we’ll stick to recent advancements. In 2006 SIDI designed the Full Carbon Sole, a serious step above the foam core soles that were simply wrapped in carbon. The trick was to keep the shoe strong and stiff, yet still comfortable to the rider. Strength and durability is great, but if they hurt your feet, what good are they? By using a specialized grid design to add thickness where it needed to be stiff (like the heel) and thinner layers where it needed to flex (like the toes), SIDI’s full carbon sole took SIDI to a new level in design innovation. In 2008, they further advanced the full carbon sole with the Millennium 3 which used injected carbon construction within a nylon matrix. This new infusion technique gave the sole 36% more rigidity than previous models adding more durability for prolonged usage and varying temperature changes. Coming up in 2010 is the new Ergo II model that offers all the prior advancements while allowing the rider to adjust every single spot on the shoe for an absolutely perfect fit each and every ride.
