What is a Hot tub ozone purifier?

An ozone purifier is a device used for the purpose of water purification which uses ozone. They are especially commonly used in swimming pools and spas, often alongside or to replace chlorination.

An ozone purifier works by drawing air through a chamber in the system and then subjecting the air to an electric current. This will create ozone. Ozone is a gas which has a chemical makeup of 3 oxygen molecules and possesses an odour similar to chlorine. It should be noted that excessive levels of ozone can be dangerous and so they are used only in very small quantities.
