Instructions:
1. Lay the two sleeping bags flat on the ground, side by side.
2. Measure the width of both sleeping bags together, and add 1 inch for seam allowances. This will be the width of your double sleeping bag.
3. Measure the length of the sleeping bag, from the top of the hood to the bottom of the footbox, and add 1 inch for seam allowances. This will be the length of your double sleeping bag.
4. Cut two pieces of fabric to the dimensions you measured in steps 2 and 3.
5. Sew the two pieces of fabric together along the long edge, using a 1/2-inch seam allowance.
6. Turn the fabric right side out, and press flat.
7. Fold the fabric in half lengthwise, with the right sides together.
8. Sew the two layers of fabric together along the open edge, using a 1/2-inch seam allowance.
9. Leave a 6-inch opening in the center of the seam, for the zipper.
10. Turn the double sleeping bag right side out, and press flat.
11. Insert the zipper into the opening, and sew it in place using a zipper foot.
12. Sew a 1/4-inch topstitch around the entire edge of the double sleeping bag, to secure the zipper and seams.
Your double sleeping bag is now complete!
