12 Things You Can’t Leave Home Without On Your Next Camping Vacation

Packing your family up for any kind of journey can be a consuming, but essential task; this is especially right for camping. Unlike a cruise, a Disneyland trip or a trip to the relatives, camping can be a time when you are a nice space from any type of real store. So packing is particularly important because negelecting anything typically means a extended drive into a little town in hopes that they have what you want. Here are a number of items that you don’t want to leave behind when you are preparing to go camping:

1. Prescriptions- If someone in your family routinely takes a medicine you don't want to forget about the medicine. In an urgent situation you might be able to find help from a pharmacy or a local hospital, but the end result is that you will probably lose one whole day of excitement as you try to get the medicine. So, don’t forget your prescription drugs.

2. First aid kit- The combination of camping and children is likely to produce some scratches, cuts, scrapes and burns, which will need care. Having a well thought out first aid kit will aid to avert infection and will alleviate any slight suffering.

3. Batteries- Ensure to carry extra batteries for flashlights and any other battery operated equipment.

4. Flashlights- Flashlights are a camping necessity. You will be sorry for not remembering them when you have to walk to the restroom/outhouse at night in the pitch black.

5. Lanterns- Even though flashlights are wonderful in the tent and for walking around in the dark; they are not the greatest for sitting at a table [at night. Propane powered lanterns give much more empowering light than a flashlight, which tends to make them good for tabletops or any other moderately flat surface area.

6. Propane- Take extra propane for propane powered lanterns and cooking units like camping stoves and table top grills.

7. Tarps- Tarps are great for building your tents on, tying to trees to create a rain guard, putting on the ground to create a play place for younger children and just about anything else.

8. Rope- Slim nylon rope is always helpful whether you are making a clothes line to dry swim suits and towels or tying a tarp up to a tree. Rope will constantly be valuable.

9. Matches/lighters- Don’t leave home without loads of lighters or matches or both. Camping is no good time when you are not able to make a fire.

10. Shoes- Make sure that you have the proper shoes...unhappy feet can lead to a unhappy journey. You will possibly want to pack things like sandals, good walking shoes, and hiking boots. Additionally take the correct type of socks for each pair of shoes.

11. Clothes- You are unlikely to neglect to take clothes but make sure that you take the proper kind of clothing. Check the weather before you leave so that you can be prepared with the suitable kind of clothes. Rain coats are always a beneficial option to be safe. Plenty of mountainous campgrounds can be moist or rainy in the morning so it is a smart idea to always have some sort of rain gear brought with. And, often take extras of everything because you never know what can happen during the day that may need an outfit change.

12. Food- A reminder you are not likely to leave behind food, but don't forget to take stuff to eat that doesn’t need to be cooked in case you run out of propane or can’t start a fire.
